Dr. Ji Hoon Song (Ph.D) is currently serving as assistant professor of Occupational Education Studies (Human Resource and Workforce Education-related) at Oklahoma State University (since Aug., 2008).

He Holds M.S. (Training & Human Resource, Aug. 2005); and Doctoral degree (Human Resource Development, Aug. 2008) from the Pennsylvania State University. Also, he holds B.A. degree in the field of Instructional System Technology from Han Yang University, Seoul, Korea (Feb. 2004). Before joining in Oklahoma State University, he has worked as a teaching/research assistant in Department of Learning and Performance Systems at the Pennsylvania State University (from Jan. 2006 to May. 2008).

For his consulting experience, he has several Management and HR-related consulting experiences as associate consultant and advisory consultant "Developing Strategic Planning for Organizational Innovation and Leadership Change" for Hyundai Pharmacy; "Developing Creative Management Strategies and Knowledge Creation Road map" for Learning & Innovation Consulting Group; "Outsourcing Service Agreement Project" for Korean Inchon International Airport Corp.; "Customer Satisfaction Management  & Management Identity Establishment Project" for Korean District Heating Corp.; "Effective Management Communication Project" for Seoul Metropolitan Rail Road Corp.  and among others.

His research interests lie in Human-Interaction Knowledge Creation Process, Blended Knowledge Management System, Integrated Organizational Learning Theories, Learning Organization, Organizational Innovation and Change, and Strategic Talent Management. Furthermore, he is also interested in the Psychometric subjects of Measurement Theory and Structural Equation Modeling approaches.


Recently, Dr. Song received "2008 Outstanding Dissertation of the Year Award" from the University Council for Workforce and Human Resource Education. Also, Dr. Song received “2009 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards - Highly Commended Research Award” in the field of Organization Development and Leadership from Emerald Publishing company.
